Hi! in this post I will fill these tables with an example of an irregular verb and what formulas to use depending on the time we are combining, I hope you find it useful.

Oh, by the way I´m going to use the verb "write" because one of our class is called "argumented script" and I think is very interesting in our work area.

Hi! In this time we're gonna make tables of different verb tenses that our teacher explained on this week english class. She asked us to choose a verb related to our major. I choose edit.

Nouns and Verb groups 2

Hi! on this week our teacher asks us to search for some job opportunities related to mass communication or a review of a movie or something related to that. And on that text identify the noun groups, verb groups and their respective nucleus.

I chose this job description:

Production designer, theatre/television/film 

(Production designers) [are responsible for the visual concept of a film, television or theatre production]. (They) [realise a design style for sets, locations, graphics, props, lighting, camera angles and costumes, while working closely with the director and producer].

[Once the concept is decided], (designers) [usually appoint and manage an art department, which includes a design and construction team]. (They) [often form a strong partnership with a particular director with whom they may work on many productions].

Hello !, in our English class our teacher sent us identify noun groups and verb groups from: a job, a review of a movie or something related to our career audivuasles. Since I love animation movies, I decided to use the summary of The book of life (a recent movie animation).

Glossary: Types of visual effects editing

Hi! In this time our teacher ask us to make a glossary of 8 words related to media.


We are gonna explain different types of visual effects editing.

Fade in

This effect is used when an image moves from color black or any solid color to a sharp image.

Fade Out

This effect is used when moving a sharp image to a black or solid color progressively.

Dissolve

It is used to create continuity in different scenes. The effect is that an image is slowly disappearing and another image being displayed in place.

Wipe

It is a way to change planes without fading, an image out of the screen and then another comes into picture, this can be in either direction: straight, diagonal, central or stripes.

Cutaway

This effect editing is to use a picture then change it to a different. But this second picture should have sense of history and otrogue some context to the narrative and then return to the initial picture.

Superimpose

Two images are placed one above the other, with transparency so that the two can be distinguished on the screen. They can be pictures belonging to the same time or totally opposite but that give the story additional data about character.

 

Jump-Cut

This cut makes the effect with a different images of subject, followed by putting these planes gives the effect that the subject has jump in time or place.

Split Screen

This effect is to divide the screen into multiple frames and each of these place an image without any of them touch.

We are gonna explain different types of camera shots.

Gran Plano General (GPG) / Extreme Long Shot (ELS)

This type of shot shows a scenary or a crowd. Almost always shows the landscape of the film and sometimes a character in the distance of a background. This gives information about where the action is to take place. It often sets the atmosphere of a film.

Plano General (PG) / Long Shot (LS)

This shows a whole person or different characters, but the background dominates the shot. It allows you to understand the relationship between the characters and their environment or where the character is on that moment.

Plano completo (PC) / Full Shot (FS)

This shows the full body of the character inside a space or place. On this type of shot you could see the movements and actions of the character and also where the character is on that moment.

Plano Medio (PM) / Medium Shot (MS)

This shows half of the body of a character. The shot is taken from above the head to below the waist. It allows you to get to know the character more closely by viewing their facial expressions and body language.

Primer plano (PP) / Close up (CU)

This type of shot shows a closer image of the character, allowing us to see the complete face. This shot is taken of a person’s head from just above the head to the top of the chest. It contains little or no background. It can be used to introduce a character and allows the character to show emotions.

Primerísimo primer plano (PPP) / Extreme Close Up (ECU)

This is a very close shot showing a detail of a person. It´s used to make the viewer aware of some specific details on the film.

Toma de 2 / Two shot

It’s a type of shot who contains two people. The characters doesn't always have to be next to each other, and there are many common two-shots. It’s very useful in films about two people.

Toma de Grupo / Group shot

It´s a type of shot who allows you to show a group of people. This is useful in movies who contains many important characters.
